When Chrysler president Bob Lutz green lighted the idea of a
"modern day Cobra" in 1988 through the Advanced Design Studio, the
project took 4 years to design. It was not taken lightly and
Carroll Shelby himself was asked to help with the design. Like the
original Cobra, the car was meant to be aggressive in style, simple
& lightweight, extremely powerful, and not meant to be driven by
the unskilled! Given that Chrysler was owned by Lamborghini at the
time, the first production V10 engine was put in their hands to
produce. It received final production approval from Lee Iacocca and
hit showrooms in 1992! With iconic names like this involved, it was
bound for success! Production of the Dodge Viper continued for next
26 years!
A redesign in 2002 was implemented by Daimler-Chrysler's new Street
and Racing Technology department, launching the new SRT vehicles
are in a class by themselves. The previous RT-10 and GTS models
were gone, replaced by the new SRT-10, followed by a new SRT-10
Coupe in 2005. And similar to all SRT vehicles, they offer
benchmark performance at an affordable price. Honoring more than a
dozen years of outrageous street performance and GT championship
wins, the Viper continued into each new generation with vast
improvements to suspension stability, aerodynamics, braking
performance, traction control, and increased horsepower! The final
iteration of the SRT Viper would be the best, proving its
lightweight body and low road stance over huge tires could handle
just about anything the driver was comfortable throwing at it! They
will forever be one of the most collectible, American built super
exotics for many years to come!
Offered here is a 2014 SRT Viper GTS coupe finished in Billet
Silver Metallic Clearcoat over Black suede & leather combination
interior. The interior features leather wrapped door trim, grab
handles, instrumentation panel, e-Brake handle/shift knob and
boots, entire center console, and steering wheel. Powered by the
monster 8.4L V10 SFI engine producing 640 horsepower mated to the
enhanced Tremec TR6060 6-speed transmission and Dana M44-4
limited-slip axle ratio of 3.55:1 Additional features and comforts

A fantastic Viper shape without question, and one highly tuned by
the SRT division to be both an outstanding road car in addition to
an all-out track-ready assault vehicle! Fitted with dual mode Sport
Side Exhaust and Sport/Touring adjustable Bilstein suspension
settings, you can literally transform it to the desired
characteristics you require! Add in electronic launch control and
ABS enhanced stability controls with Brembo brakes, even
professional drivers find the SRT Viper difficult to push to its
true limits of control because of such limited body roll and
intense traction. Statistically, the Fifth generation SRT Viper
weighed in at under 3500 pounds due to carbon fiber & aluminum
construction, measured 49" tall and 76" wide, allowing it to
provide 0-60 times under 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 206
mph!
This fantastic 2014 Dodge SRT Viper GTS has had only one owner
since new, who clearly pampered it without any abuse! It has been
driven just 1,688 miles and remains 100% factory stock in showroom
new presentation. Always garaged and under a CoverCraft Form-Fit
soft cover when not in use. Included in the sale are the original
