When Chrysler president Bob Lutz green lighted the idea of a "modern day Cobra" in 1988 through the Advanced Design Studio, the project took 4 years to design. It was not taken lightly and Carroll Shelby himself was asked to help with the design. Like the original Cobra, the car was meant to be aggressive in style, simple & lightweight, extremely powerful, and not meant to be driven by the unskilled!
