Vehicle Description
This 1965 Ford Mustang GT tribute is a well-presented restored
classic with fresh paint, speedy GT flair, a premium pony interior,
upgraded V8 power, and four-on-the-floor. It all makes for an
iconic coupe that knows how to be a distinctive driver.
The 1965-correct Ivy Green perfectly represents how you want to see
this car. The dark and earthy tone has the right 1960s style, but
it also loves to radiate with the kind of luster that can only come
from a modern clearcoat application. And speaking of modern, this
coupe was given a comprehensive restoration that was completed in
2022, and there we're told it has only been about 5k miles put on
this coupe. And we especially like that they started with a nice
base for this project considering the under 50k on the odometer is
part of the actual miles title. Since this is a distinctive car
they made sure it had a distinctive presentation. The bright
chrome, good panel alignment, well-fitting doors, and clean style
show off a solid investment. The mix of triple rocker stripes and
premium vinyl roof - both in black - is a sporty and sophisticated
collaboration that is absolutely irresistible. The fog lights in
the grille, proper badging, and trumpeted dual exhaust tips mounted
through the rear valance are all part of this detailed sporty
package that gives you a good-looking proper GT. In fact, there are
the right components to believe that this may be a factory GT, but
without the nearly-impossible confirming paperwork it needs to be
listed as a tribute. And while this is a distinct coupe that can
stand on its own, the GT package, dark green color, and torque
thrust style wheels give this a hint of Bullitt Mustang
attitude.
The black accents of the exterior are also a preview of the full
black interior. It has the color and quality you'll love on the
seats, door panels, carpeting, and more. Plus you'll appreciate all
the classic details here. It's everything from the working courtesy
lights to the premium "pony" package on the upholstery. This was
built to be a comfortable cruiser. So you have well-integrated
upgrades like R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to
blow cold,) a retro-style AM/FM/iPod stereo, and power locks
combined with an alarm system. The bucket seats, center console,
and classic three-spoke wood steering wheel give you the right
vintage driver feeling. There's even an iconic Rally Pac on display
for a great GT feeling.
Just like the rest of the car, the motor has an unmistakable look
of a solid investment. This is a first-year Mustang, which wasn't
up to this 302 cubic-inch displacement yet, but this speedy pony
earns it. Plus, there is a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an
aluminum intake, and long tube headers feeding the X-pipe dual
exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. There are nice supporting
components like an HEI ignition, a Shelby-style Monte Carlo bar,
and an aluminum radiator with electric fan. You get full control
over this V8 and its rumbling dual exhaust thanks to a four-speed
manual. Added traction bars and newer suspension components - right
down to the bushings - give this one a confident feeling on the
road. And features, like power steering, power brakes, and front
discs make it a solid all-around driver.
