The 1967 Mercury Cougar represents the first year for one of the
coolest classics around. So when it has a terrific color combo, V8
power, and some nice upgraded details, it feels like a proper
classic with true cruiser appeal.
The blue paint on this coupe has the vibrant look of a modern
clearcoat application, and the glossy finish gives it a radiant
appearance in the sunshine. This had spent many years as a
California car, and we have a receipt showing the paint was a
professional application at a So-Cal area shop in 2013. And the
overall finish shows there has been exceptional care since then.
It's part of a package where the panels are straight, doors operate
smoothly, and chrome and stainless have a bright shine. Even the
hallmark hidden headlight front end is distinctly sharp. So it has
the elegance you want in an upper-level Mercury. This one also
loves to have a hint of the classic cruiser attitude. You see it in
the large dual exhaust tips, Mag 500 wheels, and raised white
letter tires with a wider rear set.
The black interior goes well with the exterior blue, and the trim.
It's sporty, sophisticated, clean, and comfortable - just what you
want a Mercury Cougar to be. There are even some nice details like
the working under-dash and C-pillar lights. The whole package
inside is made to be a driver's car. That's why you have upgrades
like cup holders and provisions for R134a air conditioning. And
while the classic AM radio is on display, your real driving comes
from a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input and Bluetooth. Bucket
seats, a floor shifter, a grippy steering wheel, and large gauges
are all part of this driver-ready setup.
This was born a C-code coupe, and the engine bay really shows off a
stock and correct presentation of the 289 cubic-inch V8. While the
appearance is vintage the way this one fires up eagerly and runs
smoothly lets you know it also has been under the proper care. So
it lives up to the idea of a true easy-cruising Mercury. Power
steering, front disc brakes, and a three-speed automatic
transmission complete the solid driving package.
The sale comes complete with maintenance receipts and the owner's
manual. There are some details you may want to address, like
servicing the air conditioning or hidden headlights so that they
have the ideal full function. But the overall package is stylish,
distinct, premium, and smooth. That's why this Cougar is
irresistible. Call today!!!
