This 1977 GMC C1500 has an extra-sleek exterior, a custom/comfy
air-conditioned interior, and V8 power under the hood. It makes for
the kind of total package that makes for an awesome cruiser.
Sleekness is at the heart of the custom build. The black paint has
a nice gloss and the color-matched front bumper and flush roll pan
add to a slicker style. The body is both custom and smooth with a
cowl hood, deleted door mirrors, an aerodynamic tonneau cover, and
a custom tailgate with deleted handle and frenched license plate.
They even shaved the door handles and put them on a remote key fob
popper. And because everything is so dark, you really see the
remaining brightwork pop in upgrades like the billet-style grille
and sporty rally wheels. We especially like the total package
because it was built to be a cruiser. That means it's an overall
road-ready style that looks good when it's out there in the
world.
Another part of being road-ready is delivering a more comfortable
interior. The upgrades start with the seating. This is the kind of
modern split bench borrowed from a much younger GMC. So you get
bucket-like comfort on both sides and integrated shoulder belts,
and when the center jump seat isn't needed, you can fold it down
for an armrest console. There's also a nice headliner, good
carpeting, and upgraded aluminum accents on the dash to make this
feel inviting. Plus, you have some great cruising features. Some
add comfort like the tinted windows, factory AM/FM stereo, power
windows, and cold-blowing air conditioning. Others make for a
better driver like the upgraded sports steering wheel and full
gauges with tach.
Under the hood is a 350 cubic-inch V8. While there are some nice
polished upgrades, the investments we really like are the things
that keep it a hardy runner, like the HEI distributor, newer plug
wires, and a four-barrel carburetor. It makes for a nice power
today, and we all know there are plenty of easy ways to unlock some
more power whenever you want. The V8 is at the heart of this
truck's solid cruising attitude, and it also helps that you have
easy driving features like power steering, a three-speed automatic
transmission, front disc brakes, and wide BF Goodrich T/As.
This GMC is distinct, comfy, and ready to hit the road. So if
you're looking for a driver's classic pickup that knows how to turn
heads, call today!!!
