Vehicle Description
Wow. What we've got here is absolutely stunning 1972 Plymouth 'Cuda
Restomod, a car that isn't just sure to stop anyone in their
tracks, but one that is also certain to be a behemoth on the
street. How do we know this? Well, the previous owner made this
'Cuda into an absolute badass, overhauling the original 340 C.I. V8
with a rebuild and plenty of performance upgrades. Believe us when
we say that his 'Cuda really hauls. The 1972-1974 Plymouth 'Cuda
remained virtually unchanged from year to year and suffered from
ever-increasing 1970s emissions standards, but this 1972 'Cuda is
different. This Plymouth is powered by a matching-numbers 340 C.I.
V8 paired to a 4-barrel carburetor, and with with all those
performance upgrades all the emissions-era laziness of that 340 has
gone right out the window. That power gets to the rear end through
an updated, race-spec 4-speed automatic transmission (with
overdrive), ensuring that all that torque gets from the engine to
the pavement. However, what really sets this 'Cuda apart from the
rest of the pack is its stunning black and gray paintjob, laid out
over a laser-straight body with hallmark "340" decals in gray
featured brilliantly over the rear quarter-panels. Interior options
on this 'Cuda include an updated Vintage Air A/C and Heating system
(that works wonderfully), a Flaming River tilt steering column, new
Vintage USA Redline gauges, custom covered bucket seats (driver's
is height adjustable) and Dynamats on all interior panels. The car
rides on a set of Hankook Performance blackwall tires on top of
some absolutely mean-looking Boss wheels for an intimidating look.
This 'Cuda has had so many performance upgrades it's impossible to
fit them all into one paragraph, so we think it's best if we just
list them.
Mechanical options on the car include:
1. A rebuilt, #s-matching 340 C.I. V8 with 10.5:1 compression, a
Racer Brown camshaft, Crane Gold adjustable roller rockers, ARP
bolts, and a Weiand Stealth intake
2. Milodon Race oil pan
3. Silver Sport Transmissions "A41" 4-speed automatic transmission
with overdrive
4. 8 3/4" rear end with a 3.23 "Sure Grip" axle ratio
5. 11.5" rear disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors
6. Ridetech triangulated 4-link with Ridetech and Fox adjustable
coilover shocks
7. New, custom aluminum 26" radiator with dual Spal electric fans
controlled in tandem by the Holley Sniper EFI and Vintage Air
system
8. American Auto Wire classic E-Body wiring overhaul kit
The suspension on this 'Cuda deserves a list all on its own, as
this car handles like no other. With its list of upgrades, the
'Cuda in question is sure to treat its driver with one hell of a
good time. The list of suspension components is as follows:
1. QA1 tubular K member
2. QA1 tubular lower control arms
3. QA1 adjustable strut rods
4. QA1 double-adjustable Stocker Star shocks
5. Hotchkiss tubular upper control arms
6. Hotchkiss torsion bars
7. Hotchkiss steering links
8. Hotchkiss sway bar
9. Borgeson fast-ratio steering box
10. 13" front disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors
The 'Cuda in question is sure to not only haul ass, but to steal
the show anywhere it is driven. This monster of a car is looking
for a new driver, and we think it would look perfect sitting in
your driveway.
