Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1991 Land Rover Defender
110. Imported from the U.K. by its current owner (a British expat
and Land Rover enthusiast living here in Atlanta) about three years
ago, this D110 is now on a clean Georgia title. It's finished in
grey with a black top, and sports a vinyl and cloth interior.
As with many of these imports, this Rover is right-hand drive and
powered by a 2.5L 200Tdi. What makes this one special is the
automatic gearbox that it received out of a Discovery of the same
vintage. The motor runs strongly and was recently serviced with an
oil change. Gear changes are smooth and handling is improved by a
recently replaced steering stabilizer and shocks. The hood release
and fuel sending unit have just been replaced, too. The body and
undercarriage are a bit rough around the edges, indicative of the
English countryside where it long resided, but that just makes
hitting the trails or the campsite all the more appealing (you
definitely won't be worried about scratches or dings). With winter
approaching, now is the perfect time to outfit this rig for a
springtime over-landing expedition.
The Land Rover Defender is iconic and for good reason. This one,
though somewhat wanting cosmetically, is as reliable and stout as
any, and ready for whatever you might throw at it, and offered at a
very attractive price relative to other TDi-powered Defenders.
