Since the late 1960s, the XJ served as Jaguar's flagship luxury
saloon. In typical Jaguar fashion, the XJ, in all of its
generations, always maintained an understated sporting character
with undeniable Britishness. This remained true for the sixth
generation XJ, known internally as the X350, produced between 2003
and 2007. This was a completely new car from the ground up, base on
a rigid and lightweight all-aluminum chassis and body, with V6 and
V8 engines, depending on the market. American buyers only got the
'AJ' series V8, a silky and powerful 32-valve unit with an
exceptional reputation. The new car more than lived up to the XJ
ethos, delivering performance, refinement, and luxury in a uniquely
British package. This 2005 XJ8 L is a desirable long-wheelbase
model that, remarkably, has had just one owner from new and
currently displays only 19,300 miles. The accompanying window
sticker shows it is a well-optioned car, handsomely finished in
British Racing Green over Champagne leather upholstery. As a
long-wheelbase model, it came equipped with the 294 hp AJ-V8
engine, 6-speed automatic gearbox, active and self-leveling
suspension, 12-way power seats, adjustable pedals, and much more.
Options include the heated seat package, heated steering wheel, and
Xenon lighting package. While sold new in St. Louis, Missouri, the
car was primarily used by the owners in the gentler climates of
California and Florida. It is presented in excellent condition
inside and out, and is accompanied by a clean Carfax report.
Service records on file show consistent dealer servicing throughout
its life, with receipts current through June, 2022. One record
indicates a minor paint repair on the front bumper in 2019. Jaguar
XJs are wonderful driver's cars, and as such, most accumulated high
miles throughout their lives. It is exceedingly rare to find such a
