In 2003, BMW announced the return of the flagship 6-series coupe
after a fourteen year absence. Much like the beloved "shark nose"
E24 of the 70s and 80s, BMW developed the 6-series on the
contemporary 5-series platform, and offered a wide range of engine

first time ever, BMW buyers could now have a 6-series in
