HIGHLIGHTS: Factory convertible! Recent engine rebuild! Red on
black C3 convertible! Great car for spring cruising!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body is clean and straight, and really looks
nice. The body lines are crisp and sharp, and doesn't appear to be
showing any history of accidents or repairs. The convertible top is
in great shape and the glass is free of any cracks. Finally, we
would say that there isn't any better color to show off the lines
of a Vette than red.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: This Corvette left the factory as a brown
on brown car, so we know this car has been repainted in the past.
The paint retains a nice, glossy finish. While you may see some
signs of normal use, the paint is in
good condition with a few blemishes mainly around the nose of the
car where you'll find a couple of bubbles in the paint and your
normal wear and tear. Overall, this car would stand tall at a local
cruise in!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is where this Corvette
really shines! You would never know that someone changed the color
of the interior, as it looks like the factory black interior. The
seat material is in good condition, showing only minor creasing as
a result of normal use. The carpet, door panels, and trim pieces
all show very well and are just ready for the next owner.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: This 1974 Corvette runs like a champ! With a
small block and the automatic transmission, this is the perfect
affordable classic Corvette. The engine was professionally rebuilt
in 2018 under the current ownership, and at the time not only
upgraded to an aluminum intake, new radiator, Edelbrock carburetor,
a mild cam and electronic ignition, but they also replaced all the
gaskets, Edelbrock timing chain and gears, head bolts, super turbo
mufflers and did a 4-wheel alignment. The transmission shifts
great, and the engine runs like a V8 sewing machine. Not to mention
sounds way better than it did from factory. This car has plenty of
pep, drives great, and is simply a blast!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The overall condition, and of
course the price!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: Even though it is a factory air
delete car, you might not find it to unbearable since thankfully it
is a convertible.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Everything is working as expected although
the heat is currently not working. The brake pedal is a little
soft, so this Corvette may need a brake job in the future.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for a fun and
affordable classic American icon should consider this 1974
Chevrolet Corvette!
