Vehicle Description
1955 Chevrolet Bell Air Resto Mod
Why Is This Car Special
The '55 Chevy was the first successful Chevrolet with an optional
V8 engine, the new 265-cubic-inch overhead valve V8 was designed to
be smaller, lighter, and more powerful than previous V8s in the
auto industry.
We have a completely restored 1955 Chevy here at Skyway Classics
that now has a much more potent drive train than that original and

Mechanical Specs
The engine in ours is a much modified fuel injected Supercharged
383 CID V8 engine with its polished/grey supercharger wearing a
complete Holley Sniper EFI fuel injection system that is controlled
by the dash unit in the interior, large open element air cleaner
system with a chrome lid, bright chrome Chevrolet logo valve
covers, MSD ignition parts, performance cam and kit, headers
flowing back to a dual "Cherry Bomb" exhaust system, air
conditioning, power steering, and power brakes with 4 wheel
discs.
This engine is mated to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission and
delivers that horsepower to the ground through a Ford 9" rear end
with 3.25 gears. The engine and drivetrain has under 10k miles on
it and this Tri Five can run with the best of them.
The painted and detailed engine compartment completes the look and
will look good at all the cruises and shows.
Interior
As you can see, the custom tan interior has a mix of classic 55
looks with added luxury and upgrades featuring a custom tan leather
full bench seat with suede inserts and matching rear seat, matching
door panels and headliner, aftermarket billet and leather steering
wheel on the tilt steering wheel, Air conditioning, power steering,
power brakes with 4 wheel disc, custom aftermarket stereo unit,
B&M shifter, and the Holley Sniper EFI computer.
This 55 is as nice and comfortable as you will ever find and has
tan carpeting with red floor mats, a floor console housing the
chrome B&M shifter, and even the Chevy clock in the passenger
side of the dash.
Exterior
Our 1955 has the classic look and feel as it did back when it was
new, only better this time around with its bright red paint that is
spectacular. It has new paint and has been restored and has that
new look and feel.
It also has great chrome bumpers front and rear, chrome grille, 17"
Ridler chrome wheels wrapped in black sidewall radial tires, all
the Bel Air chrome trim, chrome mirrors, chrome door handles, and
of course, the iconic chrome hood ornament.
Conclusion
The 1955 Chevrolet we have at Skyway Classics has the look as it
did in 1955, only better and with a lot more supercharged power,
creature comforts, custom interior, and better handling.
If you are looking for a 55 this is one stunning Resto Mod you
should consider adding to your garage.
