This is a real Z code 390 big block car. Sharp fastback roof line
and popping red interior. Shifting that 4-speed while hearing the
rumble of the Flowmasters sounds like fun!
EXTERIOR: Clean North Carolina car, overall, very solid. It's
straight and fits great. Repainted its original Corinthian White.
It shows well with a glossy finish, there are flaws if you look for
them. Original trim is in good shape. The deluxe mirrors are
excellent, bumpers were rechromed, door handles and fender spears
look new. Glass is original. It's rolling on a set of 16 inch
Torque Thrust wheels with Kumho performance tires.
INTERIOR: I love the red contrast against the white. It has
reproduction door panels and upholstery with the cool chrome
piping. New optional padded dash. The instrument panel, gauges,
lenses, knobs all look great. The clock works! It has a retro
stereo in the factory hole and kick panel speakers. Down on the
floor is bright red carpet, reproduction mats and the best part: a
4-speed shifter! White headliner and visors look great.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Correct 390 motor. Rebuilt with some extra
performance thrown in it. Sounds like a healthy cam, Holley carb on
top. It's dressed up with chrome Ford valve covers and HiPo air
cleaner. Upgraded Borgeson power steering. The components look
clean and proper. The metal surfaces are clean and painted
nice.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are painted nicely.
Solid floor, neatly spatter painted. New trunk mat. Complete jack
and spare assembly is properly mounted.
UNDERSIDE: Rock solid original metal. It appears to be well sorted,
there are miscellaneous steering components that look fresh. It has
gas shocks in front, new air shocks in back. Great sounding dual
exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Drum brakes all around, e-brake
is hooked up, brake hoses look new. Fuel tank has been replaced.
Bottom of the motor looks clean, starter looks fresh. It has a
correct 4-speed top loader trans.
One very nice Galaxie with some muscle!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
