The Story goes: Originally sold new on Long Island New York.. The original owner was a farmer, He used his new 55 wagon very sparingly.. Never used as a farm vehicle, just his Sunday driver. He passed away sometime around the mid 70's. At the time of his passing this six-passenger station wagon had been driven a little over 3,000 actual miles.. The man's wife put the car in the garage, Placed a blanket over the car and closed the door.. Approx 35 years spent in solitude..
A Ford collector named Jeff Day Acquired this Killer 55 Wagon in 2009 from the original owner's family.. Shortly after Mr Day acquired this awesome Ford he came to the conclusion that the original Raven black paint was just too tattered to preserve.. In 2011 this 55 Country Sedan was treated to a very high quality repaint in the color it was born of Raven Black.
Power disc brakes were then added for safety..
Mr Day sold this 55 Ford in 2014.. With only four owners from new, and having covered just
3,453 original miles, this 1955 Ford Country Sedan would make a lovely addition to any collection, and the perfect classic for a family summertime ice cream run.
The interior is mostly original and just wonderful,,, Trimmed in in a two-tone red and white. Very cool options I listed above. Under the hood is nicely detailed, housing the Ford V-8 engine. Very correct with washer jug, Correct decals & colors.. Original spare tire & Jack in the rear compartment.
