For Sale: 1956 Ford Crown Victoria in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Rare glass top Skyliner. It has been body off frame restored. It's not a high-end show car but would make a great cruise night car. We just spent $4,500 servicing it. The Crown Victoria is a sharp looker. Especially the 56, it has sleeker trim than a 55. First year for a 12 volt system too. The glass top really adds to its uniqueness

EXTERIOR: Decked out top of the line Crown Victoria which includes the "basket handle" trim over the roof. The body has been restored, there is no rust or damage. Repainted factory colors, it has a glossy finish. Overall, the chrome and stainless trim is good. Bumpers are rechromed, the exhaust goes right out the rear bumper. It has optional continental kit and painted fender skirts are included. The glass roof is a cool feature, not common at all back then.

INTERIOR: Sharp 2 tone colors match the outside. Reproduction door panels and seat upholstery. The floor has sound deadener under the carpet. The dash area looks good overall. Excellent headliner.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 292 motor runs very well. We just replaced the intake gasket, rebuilt the 2 barrel carb and replaced the spark plugs. We replaced the voltage regulator and rebuilt the wiper system. The heater is not working. Upgraded aluminum radiator. Overall presentable appearance.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: All solid metal painted blue. New weatherstrip and plaid mat.

UNDERSIDE: The underbody is all metal it's been restored and painted glass blue to match the car or the chassis suspension clean painted satin black and back it does have new leaf Springs Porsche's shocks and lowering blocks the fuel tank has been replaced New full dual exhaust system Glass packs. The brake system was gone through brake lines were replaced E brake assemblies hooked up Looking up at the motor it is clean, the casting number on the block indicates it's the correct motor. the starter and fuel pump look fresh Professionally rebuilt transmission.

Bottom line. It's far from perfect but still has a lot to offer. A genuine glass top Crown Vic that has been body off frame restored and its under $50,000!
