For Sale: 1957 Chevrolet 210 in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Body off frame, rotisserie restoration. Same owner for 39 years, they gave it a meticulous restoration and were rewarded with many trophies. It functions as good as it looks!

EXTERIOR: Probably better than it was when it left the factory. The body is arrow straight, the gaps are precise. No rust or damage. Repainted its original colors. Polished like a mirror, it is just as slick on the rockers as the roof. The jambs are slick. All the chrome sparkles, the stainless is straight and polished. All the weatherstrips were replaced. The 15 inch Cragar wheels with BFG tires look new.

INTERIOR: Restored from floor to ceiling like factory new. Replaced carpet and reproduction mats. Seats have firm cushions and reproduction upholstery. New matching door panels. Headliner and visors were replaced, the dome light works. The metal trim is all painted slick. Clean original gauges. The factory radio was rebuilt with Am-Fm and auxiliary plug.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Correct 283 with a 4 barrel carb. Upgraded Pertronix ignition. Stock manifolds, Chevrolet script valve covers and air cleaner. Correct carb and glass fuel filter. Reproduction hoses and clamps. The battery has a Delco topper, it's secured properly and has a disconnect switch. All the metal surfaces are painted smooth and neatly. Every component looks like new. It features power steering.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Painted as slick as the exterior. New weatherstrip, wiring and correct rubber mat. Complete jack assembly; restored rim with a reproduction whitewall for a spare.

UNDERSIDE: The body was pulled from the frame then flipped on a rotisserie. The floors are pristine metal- the floors, rockers, and braces. It was sprayed with red oxide primer and undercoat on the seems just like it left the factory. The chassis was completely disassembled and restored. All smooth metal with a semi-gloss finish. The suspension and steering were completely rebuilt. Upgraded air shocks in back. Brakes were rebuilt, lines and hoses were replaced. E-brake assembly is hooked up. Stainless dual exhaust has polished mufflers. New fuel system including the tank, sending unit and fuel lines. Looking up at the motor it is spotless. The starter was rebuilt, it has the correct canister type oil filter. Saginaw 3-speed trans, rebuilt driveshaft and original rear end with 3.55 gears. The body was reunited with the chassis using all new bushings.

The closer you look the better it gets. Right down to the nuts and bolts it looks new. A folder stuffed with receipts will be included. There was no expense spared and it shows!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
