This 1980 GMC C1500 Sierra Classic has V8 power, plenty of
originality, and shows all the right signs of being a true Heavy
Half package. If that wasn't already attractive enough, this one
has everything you want - from a useful bedliner to cold-blowing
A/C.
The Heavy Half is a true legend. Just like Dodge's LiL Red Express,
Chevy used their pickups to get around emissions regulations. And
while they were initially built to be powerful, they really became
popular because they were given a chassis built for extra duty, so
they were one of the best ways to get the most rugged truck around.
It's a terrific story for those who truly appreciate pickups, and
that's why we love to see the high degree of work-ready style on
this one. Liner paint in the bed, a rear step bumper, and a trailer
wiring plug are ready to get the job done. There are also some nice
details, like the newer tailgate and the full trim dividing the
factory-correct two-tone blue paint. And speaking of the paint,
there's a cool mix of patina and metallic that gives this both
flair and character.
The sea of blue continues inside. The bench seat is a classic piece
that looks good with its button-top style, and a comfy velour is
always preferred. Newer carpeting, good door panels, and a smooth
dash pad make it quite inviting. There are vintage features here
that are both fun and useful, like the tilt steering column, cruise
control, and a working AM/FM 8-track stereo. There was even $2k
recently invested to keep the air conditioning blowing cold.
Under the hood is an era-correct 350 cubic-inch V8 with a
four-barrel carburetor on top. This truck came out of one
collection, and it was even said to have been in another before
that. It shows that the Heavy Halfs really are in demand, but it's
also why this fires up readily like a pickup that has seen good
care and respect. So it looks honest, runs strong, and makes a nice
tune out of the dual exhaust. And the three-speed automatic
transmission power steering, power brakes, and front discs add to a
terrific total cruising package.
Complete with owner's manual, you've got the awesome legend of the
Heavy Half Sierra presented in the kind of way you want for a true
truck. So don't miss this deal, call today!
