Vehicle Description
This 1969 Pontiac Firebird is a nicely presented coupe that gives
you a terrific color combo, an aggressive stance, and a well-built
455ci V8 under the hood. And as you look over the full package, you
can really see they paid attention to details to give you quite a
head-turning coupe with head-snapping power.
The upgraded bright white is a timelessly appealing color, and this
has a good luster that gives proper shine in the sunlight. And
there's a clean look with good glass, nice lines, and plenty of
radiant brightwork - including the beak-like front bumper of this
Firebird. And we especially like the gray racing stripes painted on
top. They are inspired by the Trans Am to show this is a powerful
car, and at the same time, it's unique enough to declare this is
its own kind of powerful build. And there's more sporty style with
the full-width rear spoiler, fender vents, and competition-style
Torq Thrust wheels with the right tire stagger for an aggressive
stance.
The black interior is a nice stand-out against the white exterior.
You can tell there has been a good investment in the fundamentals
like carpeting, door panels, and dash to keep it looking and
feeling fresher. The seats were reupholstered and now include cloth
inserts that are good for all-day comfort. There are more
well-placed upgrades, like a retro-style AM/FM/cassette stereo and
an armrest center console with cup holders. And this has the
driver-oriented style you want in a Pontiac. This includes a Hurst
Quarter Stick shifter, a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel,
well-integrated auxiliary readouts, and an iconic hood tach.
The engine bay has a tidy and clean look that tells this coupe has
been given a solid investment everywhere. The turquoise block
paint, polished air topper, and matching valve covers radiate
nicely against the slick black inner walls. This is a mighty 455
cubic-inch V8 upgrade filling the engine bay. And they also added
the right performance components, like a Demon four-barrel
carburetor, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, mild performance cam, and
long tube headers. There are even nice supporting components, like
an MSD ignition, a Mallory distributor, and a Griffin aluminum
radiator. It makes for a hardy motor that fires up readily and
really loves to run. There have been nice suspension investments to
keep this one feeling confident on the road, and you'll especially
like the subframe connectors and traction bars that help manage the
big torque of this big motor. And while powerful, the driving
experience is also easy with a TH400 three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and power brakes with discs up
front.
Complete with owner's manual, this loves to showcase the best of
the power Pontiacs while also having its own sense of style. It's
the ideal way to be unique, intimidating, and fun all in one coupe.
