STK 3369 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet
In 2006 the Porsche performance flagship was the 911 Carrera. It
came in many flavors, all of them fast. The Porsche 911 series
handles with brilliance - all four wheels are always planted firmly
on the pavement. Sanely, there is no practical way to approach the
911's grip-limits on the street. That said, it is still a
comfortable ride. The styling of this 2006 AWD 911 Carrera 4S needs
no explanation. It is directly related to 911s of the '60s, but
surprisingly modern and beefier than those early models. The trunk
is still in the front and the engine is still in the rear, but the
driver and passenger now reside in a luxuriant interior. This
Carrera 4S Cabriolet, finished in 'GT Silver Metallic', is stunning
when accented with 19" Porsche alloy wheels that mount Michelin
radials. The interior is as nice as any luxury car every produced
and the soft black leather is in outstanding original condition.
Features include premium Bose AM/FM/CD 6-disc changer, power
windows, power heated seats, tilt Sport Wheel and aluminum pedals.
Virtually every safety feature is standard on the Carrera including
dual front, side and curtain airbags. Porsche fitted the Cabriolet
model with a snug top and heated glass rear window. Putting the top
down is a one-button affair that has the entire system retracted in
just a few seconds or back up in a few more. The rear-mounted
3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine produces 350 horsepower and 295
pound-feet of torque. It is backed by a six-speed manual AWD
transaxle. Top speed was advertised as 179 mph, with 0-60 times at
4.6 seconds. The chassis is equipped with power rack/pinion
steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes w/4-piston calipers and 13"
ventilated/cross drilled discs. This Porsche 911 Carrera 4S is a
