2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Super Snake This 2008 Ford Shelby
GT500 Super Snake coupe shows just under 4,800 miles from new and
is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 paired with a six-speed
manual transmission. The car was modified with Shelby's Super Snake
package, which included a larger Kenne Bell supercharger, an
aluminum driveshaft, upgraded suspension components, forged 20?
Shelby wheels, a Super Snake hood, carbon-fiber aerodynamic and
styling elements, and Super Snake badging. Finished in Vapor
Clearcoat Metallic with black stripes over a black leather
interior, The bodywork is finished in Vapor Clearcoat Metallic with
factory black over-the-top racing stripes and matching Super Snake
side stripes. The car is equipped with a carbon-fiber front
splitter, carbon-fiber rocker-panel trim, and carbon-fiber mirror
caps, as well as dual exhaust outlets, a rear decklid spoiler, a
Super Snake hood with functional scoop, Shelby badging, side
scoops, and rear quarter-window scoops. Braking is handled by
six-piston Shelby calipers at the front, with vented and
cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. Super Snakes also
received adjustable shocks, stiffer springs, and larger anti-roll
bars than those used on the standard GT500. The cabin is
upholstered in black leather and features Super Snake embroidery on
the headrests and center armrests, with embossed Cobra logos on the
front-seat backrests. A dashboard plaque identifies the car as a
Super Snake, noting the individual Shelby Automobiles CSM number,
which is also shown on an included certificate of authenticity.
Factory instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm
SVT tachometer, and a quartet of auxiliary gauges in the main
cluster, with Super Snake-specific gauges for boost, fuel pressure,
and oil pressure positioned in a pod atop the dash. Just under
4,800 miles are shown on the digital odometer. The supercharged
5.4-liter V8 received Shelby Super Snake conversion, including a
Kenne Bell supercharger, an upgraded air intake, and Shelby-branded
accessories. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed
manual transmission and a live rear axle with a 3.73:1

supple for a car with taut suspension and massive tires, and the
Super Snake can be driven more easily than almost, if not all,
supercars out there by anyone. Yes, supercar is in the conversation
