Vehicle Description
So, you've undoubtedly checked out the photos of this awesome Ford
De Luxe, and you've probably formed a few thoughts and opinions.
Indeed, this classic is a very cool custom that was built to turn
heads. And yes, it is capable of effortlessly transforming into the
centerpiece of an octane-laced art exhibit. However, this trick
sedan isn't just some stiff show queen that's been wrapped in
pretty paint. It's a bona fide show stopper that can also be easily
cruised down the strip! Looking for an exclusive classic that poses
well and kicks asphalt? Check out this fantastic Ford!
DELUXE DIGS
When you set your sights on creating something legit and truly
unique, you just can't go wrong starting with vintage Detroit
style. Thankfully, the folks who bolted this Forty together
certainly know how to massage attractive factory fodder into a
sweet, show stopping custom. Living life as storied Ford metal that
was kept solid for decades, this all-steel classic methodically
transformed from a cool project into cool headliner. A big reason
for that headlining status is a sinuous profile that was bathed in
a brilliant combination of Burgundy and Champagne two-stage. And
today, this street rod struts as a dreamy pavement pounder that's
poised to claim trophies and sure to turn heads!
Of course, it takes more than slick paint and a few body
modifications to impress the hot rod crowd, and a closer look at
this beast reveals a roster of impressive detailing. The show
starts with a polished bumper, which fans Deco guards and a "Ford"
branded bar in front of a two-tone De Luxe grille. That polished
and painted grate leads stainless-trimmed headlights and a
stainless-trimmed hood that's founded at a power antenna and
polished wipers. Those blades clear a one-piece windshield, which
fronts a tinted greenhouse that's caged between a flush Center High
Mount Stop Lamp and billet mirrors. Matted running boards trace a
stainless-trimmed profile, which hangs factory door handles in
front of a red-trimmed fuel cap. And at the back of the car, a
second polished bumper fans more Deco guards and a second "Ford"
branded bar behind an ornate deck handle, requisite chevron
taillights and an ornate "V8" emblem.
STROKED POWER
Pop the hood and you'll find 383 cubic inches of spry Chevy stroker
that was sourced directly from the pros at Kearney, Nebraska's
BluePrint Engines! At the top of that dressed and detailed mill, a
polished air cleaner wraps a reusable filter element around a big
Holley 4-barrel that's wired with braided lines, an electric choke
and a reliable Lokar linkage. That quality carb caps a lightweight
aluminum intake, which feeds aluminum BluePrint Engines heads that
are dressed with a polished breather and finned valve covers. The
fires get lit by loomed and sleeved cables, which milk an
aftermarket distributor and a hot Procomp Electronics coil. Modern
pulleys cinch pliable V-belts around a polished water pump, Tuff
Stuff power steering, a polished AC compressor and a Powermaster
alternator. Spent gases traverse coated Sanderson block huggers.
Cooling comes courtesy of a proven Griffin radiator, which fronts a
corrugated tube and quick electric puller fans. Naturally, the
car's clean engine bay features first rate details, like a polished
dip stick, a polished expansion tank and a polished brake booster.
And it all adds up to 425 dyno-proven horsepower and 427 lb./ft. of
dyno-proven torque!
MODERN DRIVE
The bottom of this awesome resto-mod is just as impressive as its
slick exterior and tidy engine bay. Behind the mean motor, a tough
700R4 4-speed twists torque to a sturdy Ford 8-inch that's finished
with a posi-traction differential and easy 3.00 gears. That proven
drivetrain pushes a traditional leaf spring rear-clip, which gets
led by a familiar Monte Carlo front-clip. Turns come courtesy of
smooth power steering. Power-assisted stops are provided by two
discs, two drums and a small proportioning valve. Exhaust is
handled by aluminized pipes, which snake through great sounding
Dynomax mufflers. And power rolls through chromed Vision blades,
which spin 205/65R15 Hankook Optimos in front of 235/75R15 Hankook
Optimos.
CUSTOM CRUISE
Much nicer than simple factory fodder, this Ford's custom cockpit
flows well with its superfly exterior thanks to Greenville, South
Carolina's The Bucket Stitch. Modern, "V8" branded seats float
red-piped vinyl between a wood console and modern shoulder belts. A
stylish dash stacks crisp VDO telemetry next to controls for Hot
Rod Air conditioning and wood-trimmed Pioneer audio that, thanks to
quality Ron Francis wiring, slinks sound through snazzy, "V8"
branded speakers. Color-keyed carpet frames billet foot pedals and
a tall Lokar shifter between custom side panels, which stack wood
armrests in front of modern, power-operated windows. The driver
spins an attractive, "V8" branded steering wheel around a polished,
tilting column. And the passengers stack supplies in a
custom-upholstered trunk.
Lust worthy, fully sorted and ready to turn heads, this awesome
Ford is an excellent combination of cool looks and reliable
performance. Call, click or visit http:///www.RKMotors.com for more
