year of Buick's Series 50 Super models. These cars feature sleek
exterior styling and an interior that provided seating for up to
six adults. One level up from the entry-level Series 40 Special
models, the Buick Super range proved to be a hit with consumers,
selling 128k examples in its debut year. 95k of these units were
4-door sedans, few have weathered the decades as well as this 1940
Buick Super Eight Sedan.
This Buick has been restored to period correct specs, don to the
original 248 cubic inch (4.1L) 107 horsepower "Fireball" straight
eight engine. This is one of those vehicles that you must see in
person to truly appreciate. The straight eight motor is backed by a
"3 on the tree" manual transmission. It is equipped with the
original sealed-beam headlights and Fore-Aft Flash-Way
