for your consideration. This Concord is powered by the ever-solid
"Iron Duke" 2.5L I4 which routes power to the rear wheels through
an automatic transmission. These engines were used in many vehicles
as was the 3-speed automatic transmission which means parts are
readily available.
This example is in a highly original condition and shows just
66,859 original miles on the odometer. The exterior is finished in
the original color of Slate Blue Metallic but could use some TLC to
return to its original glory. A clean blue interior hosts many
great features such as power windows, air conditioning, wood
trimmed dashboard, sunroof, and AM/FM/Cassette radio. It rides on
aftermarket 15-inch wheels that are wrapped in Continental Control
Contact tires. Accompanying this vehicle is a letter from a
previous owner that states this vehicle may have been owned by the
wife of the Vice President at the AMC Corporation.
The Concord was built from 1978-1983, AMC sought to give its
compact car an image of luxury, class, and value and the Concord
delivered as it quickly became AMC's volume seller. New for '82 was
the removal of the vertical strakes on the Landau vinyl roofs of
the DL and the Limited, a new Chrysler-designed 3-speed automatic
with wider ratios, and low-drag disc brakes as fuel economy
