completely untouched 1979 Pontiac Trans AM Special Edition. Powered
by a Pontiac 400 with a 4 speed standard transmission. Pontiac had
only 8.672 of the 400 CI engines remaining to install as an option
in Formula and Trans Am line up considering that a total 140K T/As
and Formulas were produced in 1979 so you do the math. The W72
option in Trans Am would be the last year that the Pontiac 400
would be produced. A 1979 Trans Am ordered with the W72 engine came
with 4 speed, 4 wheel disc brakes and the legendary WS6 handling
package. The WS6 equipped Trans Am was the best-handling American
car in 1979. Many enthusiasts consider this car to be the last of
the great muscle cars. Only 1,107 black and gold SE 400 4 speeds
were produced so yes this is one rare bird. This is a car that must
