Vehicle Description
1928 Auburn Model This rare senior-owned 1928 Auburn Model 76SD
Sedan that has been in the current owner's family since new. This
vehicle is Yellow with black fenders and a dark brown mohair type
cloth interior in exceptional condition considering its vintage. I
am certain this car has been faithfully restored at some point in
its history and is a strong 8 or 9 for its merits. The car was last
run in 2019 just before Covid 19. There are 2 low tires, and the
battery will need a charge. I store the car for the owner and am
assisting their listing since they do not use the internet. The
vinyl top material is in decent shape with no signs of cracks or
leaks to the material. The vehicle is straight, attractive and,
size-wise is larger than, say, a Model A of the same period. This
was a luxury car produced in 1928 at the Auburn/Cord Factory in
Auburn, Indiana. All know details are in the owner's signage.
Having been around old cars for most of my 60 years, I've never
seen another that speaks to its rarity. You are certain to NOT see
1 of these at any show anytime soon. As near as I can tell the car
is complete and won't take much to get running which I hope to
accomplish in the next week or so at the time of this writing.
These cars are presented at big-block auctions, so this is a chance
to buy the car at a fair price and save big commissions etc. The
windshield has a small broken corner at the top left. It's not in
the driver's field of vision and is easily replaced as flat glass.
The body has 3 small areas of cracked paint. No significant rust,
Super Solid car. Tires are aged/cracked and should be replaced but
the hold air for test-drive etc. Please Note The Following
