1949 ford 2 door. Purchased from eBay 3 years. Spent time restoring
car. Original California car, no rust. Clean. Replaced flathead
motor with shop rebuilt mustang motor ( 289 cubic engine) All new
parts. Had custom mechanic in Santa Barbara install motor along
with many new parts; ford 2 barrel carb, distributor,radiator, new
gas tank, battery, converted to 12volt, new custom retro radio (
copy of original) blue tooth, and new speakers. Original 3 speed
transmission . No overdrive required due to ratio of rear end.
Replaced steering wheel with new identical to original. Installed
new vintage A/C. Very cold. New cocker radial tires. New brakes
with original wheels and caps. New interior, including sound
proofing material. New carpets, Matt's, deluxe seats front and back
and side panels and doors . Left headliner due to ok condition.
Chrome on bumpers ok but front grill worn. All lights and signals
work as do windows. All locks work with trunk key. Horn works. All
glass good. Replaced rear windows on side with acrylic ( looks
better than original. ( I still have original glass and frames. )
custom restored California plates with metal 49 tags. All Approved
by DMV. Dual exhaust all new to chrome tips in rear. Speedometer
restored, works great. Gas gauge and oil prescription works fine.
As well as fuel. Paint about 20?years old and is passable with some
blemishes. Everything considered it's not your average shoe box . I
just couldn't see restoring a flathead motor. Wanted a reliable
motor. About 200 HP ( 100 more than flathead) Please Note The
