1969 Chevrolet Custom Camaro Convertible. Spectacular!
Located near PORTLAND, OREGON
This Camaro Convertible was sold new on June 25, 1969 by East Syracuse Sales Co. in East Syracuse, New York. The original woman owner kept the car for the rest of her life. It was purchased from her estate in 2011 by the current owner, who set out on a multi-year restoration and performance upgrade for show and touring enjoyment.
All work was performed by D&D Rods and Restorations in Sonora, California - known for their superior quality and exacting work to the highest standards. This was a 3-year build, between 2015 and 2018. Nothing was left untouched. The body was removed from the frame, with any bodywork needed done in metal to factory original standards. OEM steel "Stinger" hood. Body was painted with base/clearcoat in Harley Davidson "Black Pearl" (Code BPY) with a chrome base. It is an amazing color, particularly in the sun, with a deep black accented by a glint of pearl/metallic. Stunning! All outside trim re-plated and polished.
Custom interior finished in black leather. Heated front seats. Custom steering wheel. Classic Instruments AutoCross gauges. Polished aluminum accelerator and brake pedals. Pioneer stereo with integral display screen. Modern air conditioning added. Original style GM seat belts. New glass and seals. New convertible top with boot and restored electric mechanism works perfectly (see video.)
