sale in our Mesa, AZ showroom. This is a family-owned car since new
out of California and then to Arizona. The first-generation
six-cylinder Mustang may not be the muscular powerhouse that pony
cars evolved into, but it captures precisely what Ford intended the
Mustang to be: a fun-to-drive sports car that wouldn't break the
bank. These days, however, the straight-six pony car is fast
becoming a unicorn amid the popularity of both factory-original and
V-8-swapped Mustangs. The Ford Mustang is one of the longest
surviving breeds of a classic pony car, and the generation that
started the line has aged well. The aggressive styling is sharp,
the sloping lines make these first gens appear low to the ground,
like a lion on the prowl. This original Mustang is waiting to give
you the ride of your life! The blue vinyl interior sitting inside
the doors is in excellent condition. The bench seating in back
shows virtually no wear or signs of exposure to the sun. There's no
letup to quality as you focus your attention towards the awesome
60's Mustang steering wheel; the expanse of blue that is contrasted
with the chrome. The instrument panel whose assortment of stock
gauges remains very clear and readable with all lights in working
condition. Just below, you'll notice the factory installed under
dash air conditioning system. We all love the originality of these
vehicles and it's a pleasure to drive. It offers plenty of power
and runs smooth. The standard interior features of the 1965 Mustang
included adjustable driver and passenger bucket seats, an AM radio,
and a floor-mounted shifter. The Silver Blue exterior will catch
your gaze right away and you'll become more impressed as you draw
closer. It's a beautiful shade that complements this Mustangs form
and is in good condition for being original. You're likely to
notice that its alignment is nice and tight with even gaps between
body panels and doors, as well as the hood and deck lid that open
and close smoothly. The original chrome bumpers and molding are in
good condition, they are from the factory, so they do show some
age. Everything remains stock under the hood. The Thriftpower I6
200ci 3.3L is in strong running condition. The 200 cubic inch six
cylinder was standard equipment and produced 120 horsepower. This
Mustang is equipped with a three-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic
transmission. The Mustang was based heavily on familiar, yet simple
components. Much of the chassis, suspension, and drive train was
derived from the Ford Falcon and Ford Fairlane. The Mustang will be
sold on a clean Arizona title. The original owner took possession
of the vehicle brand new and gifted to her daughter later in life.
