You probably know about the C7 Corvette Z06 and its ridiculous levels of performance. Acceleration, braking, and handling are all truly amazing. All that is well demonstrated by this one-owner 2016 model with only 7,700 miles. Finished in beautiful Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic with an 8-speed automatic transmission, this car is loaded with options and shows an MSRP of more than $106k. That is obviously an expensive car, but you get a lot for the money.
To start, this Z06 has the 2LZ Preferred Equipment Group ($3,565). This covers things like the memory package, power bolster / lumbar adjustments, luggage shade, heated / ventilated seats, and curb view cameras. But then things get a little more serious with the Z07 Performance Package ($7,995). Now you’ve got carbon ceramic brakes, ultra high performance tires, and an upgraded suspension. Then you have the carbon fiber package ($2,995), dual roof package ($1,995), chrome aluminum wheels ($1,995), and performance data and video recorders ($1,795). Finally, there is the carbon fiber interior package, custom calipers, special paint, cargo shade, and chrome badge package. Nice!
The car is in excellent condition throughout. The Daytona Sunset Orange paint is fairly rare and represents about 2% of Z06 production for 2016. The color is nicely offset by the chrome wheels and badges, not to mention the carbon fiber package. With the dual roof package you have the ability to run with a body colored carbon fiber roof panel, a tinted translucent panel, or no panel at all. The wheels wear the original Z07 Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Note these only have a few hundred miles; the original owner chose to preserve them and ran an aftermarket wheel/tire combination.
The Jet Black interior is a perfect contrast to the exterior. The leather bucket seats feature 8-way power adjusters with bolster and lumbar, and are also heated and ventilated. There is no reason to not be comfortable in this car! There is also a power tilt / telescoping steering column with a leather wrapped flat bottom steering wheel plus a color head-up display. The Chevrolet MyLink audio system offers great sound with Bluetooth and smart phone compatibility. It is controlled through an 8” touch screen with navigation. The C7 dash and instruments represent a huge advancement over the previous Corvette and provide a ton of data to the driver.
Now let’s talk performance. Along with the remarkable 650hp supercharged LT4 motor, this Corvette is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission that includes paddle shifters. Published performance figures show 0-60 mph in a blistering 2.95 seconds and a quarter mile in just 10.95 seconds! That is amazing acceleration matched by only a handful of cars in the world. Braking is just as impressive, stopping from 60-0 in less than 100 feet. It can also produce 1.2g of lateral acceleration which is also among the best in the world.
This Corvette is in like-new condition with a very healthy list of options. It has a fantastic look that stands out from other Z06’s. And while there are many late-model Corvettes on the market, few of them have such a clean, low-mile, one-owner history. This one also comes with an original window sticker and factory production sheets. Why not spend a little more and get something special?
