Fully restored, excellent condition 1964 Porsche 356 SC Cabriolet. A fantastic condition 356 professionally renewed by top restoration specialists with over $140,000 spent for this high quality work. A comprehensive, rotisserie metal restoration and refurbishment was completed by Byers Custom & Restoration of Auburn, WA and top-quality subcontracting shops in 2003, including replacing the floor pans, longitudinals, repairing and aligning the body panels, repainting the exterior in attractive, metallic silver/green similar to Aston Martin Olive Green. A new, black German canvas soft top and black leather upholstery was installed. Chrome wheels with correct hubcaps and quality radial tires are installed. No expense was spared in renewing the car with correct new, restored and re-chromed parts. A replacement 1964 356SC engine was rebuilt to 1.7 liters and installed by Denny Aker, a leading 356 restoration and engine builder and runs extremely well. Case stamping on third member of case is Pā813334ā is a correct year and type for a 356SC engine. This SC has a rebuilt four-speed manual transaxle, and is original to the car. Denny Aker and serviced since 1984 by Aker's Porsche of Seattle, WA.
Cabin finishes include replacement black leather upholstery with matching door panels, gray carpeting, and Coco floor mats. Lap belts are fitted, Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM/SW restored factory radio, leather steering wheel and other amenities. The body-colored dashboard has restored, VDO instrumentation that includes a 6k-rpm tachometer, a 120mph speedometer, and a combination gauge for oil temperature and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 73,336 believed to be original miles.
