Vehicle Description
Collector-owned very good condition Grand Cherokee. This 4-owner is
certified accident-free by AutoCheck, with an AutoCheck Score of 59
(vs 43-62 typical range). The vehicle was just professionally
appraised at $44,200. There are no rust issues with this
vehicle.During its heyday, the 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer was the
most luxurious and priciest out of Jeeps fleet of mass-produced 4WD
vehicles. The list price was comparable to a Corvette. Beloved for
more than the wood trim, here's why late '80s and early '90s Grand
Wagoneers deserve attention by the collector or user market:
https://www.hotcars.com/1987-1991-jeep-grand-wagoneer-costs-facts-and-figures/.When
the new downsized Cherokee was introduced in 1984, its top end
model was actually renamed the Wagoneer. That didnt signal the end
of the 1963 era body, though. If anything, it was given a new lease
on life in the form of the top-of-the-line Jeep Grand Wagoneer,
which became the Americas first dedicated luxury SUV. That year
also saw some minor trim nip and tuck that saw the original
wrap-around tail lights become rectangular. It also saw a
six-cylinder, the robust 4.2-liter AMC unit, return as the base
engine, and a 360 cubic inch (5.9L) V8 was optional. For 1987, the
V8 was so popular that the six was dropped. By the end of
production in 1991, the Grand Wagoneer had set the bar for luxury
SUVs, including the ones from imported and domestic luxury
brands.Beginning in the spring of 2021 this era Grand Wagoneer has
roughly doubled in value after years of relative obscurity. We
offer this appreciating and useful asset at $46,500. Engine: 5.9L
