Vehicle Description
The places you can go and the things you can do mean this 1969
International Harvester 4x4 Pickup is ready for far more than just
a cars & coffee outing. In fact, with everything from V8 power to a
versatile flatbed, this classic truck is also a useful specialty
tool.
This is exactly how you get both rarity and distinction wherever
you go. After all, we see far fewer IH vehicles at car shows, and
this is the kind of 4x4 that stands above the fray (literally).
People will marvel at this kind of truck because it was usually
purchased to be a lifelong workhorse. So many are often used up and
long gone now, but this one is quite different. It looks like it
has been given the right care to be ready for industrial duty
today. The bed sides fold down for a true flatbed, and while the
real wood is a nice classic touch, it's also a nice way to haul
cargo. Plus, this has a headache rack, an auxiliary fuel tank, tow
mirrors, and a proper trailer hitch. And that big steel front
bumper even has provisions for a winch (it will at least need a new
cable.) There are even some fun touches, like how the white roof,
grille, and bumper against the blue give this a subtle two-tone. As
a true classic, this has a very clean and complete appearance where
you could invest in a respray and a few details to get a stunner.
But we kind of like it the way it is now. Imperfect but sturdy
gives this truck an instant credibility. So if you just opened your
business yesterday, but parked this International out front, it
would look like you've been around for generations.
Just like the exterior, the interior is attractive for its workman
appeal. There's a good bench seat, clean steel door panels, and a
rugged rubber floor. So go ahead and hop in with your steel-toe
work boots on. You get a grippy three-spoke steering wheel, and
beyond that is a full set of gauges. This includes an added tach in
the center, which is particularly handy with the stick shift.
The engine bay continues this truck's hardy style. This is
International's desirable 304 cubic-inch V8, and now it's even
topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. It's a strong
powerhouse, and the four-speed manual transmission has a low first
gear to be perfect for everything from hauling loads to crawling up
hills in this 4x4. And speaking of the four-wheel drive, you have a
nice upgrade to ARB locking hubs. Plus, you have power steering,
power brakes, front discs, and newer Falken WildPeak A/T tires for
modern traction.
Complete with build receipts, this is an ideal total package for
work or play. But what's really impressive is that something this
unique is also so affordable. Call today!!!
