Vehicle Description
A classic panel van is an excellent way for surfers and business
owners to enjoy the vintage fun. There's just one problem: they're
not fun to drive like sports cars. But the fellow who updated this
1954 Ford F-100 Panel Delivery took care of that for you with a
complete resto-mod build. There's now a powerful V8, overdrive
transmission, and four-wheel disc brakes. And did we mention it's
riding on the fully independent suspension of a C4 Corvette?!
The Ford trucks of this era already looked terrific with the
rounded hood and well-defined flared fenders... and to this
distinction, you add the rarity of the panel van body. The matte
black is the ideal attitude for a restomod like this where it's
both aggressive and a bit elegant. And the darkness consumes not
only the body, but also the grill, running boards, and bumpers. Its
darker attitude helps draw attention to the remaining brightwork,
like the classic Ford V8 badge up front and the polished American
Racing wheels. And speaking of those alloys, they can't help but
showcase the upgraded attitude where you can see the lowered
stance, upgraded brakes, and larger/wider rear set for a powerful
appearance. It's an overall cool style where the fit and finish
snubs its nose at the upper class. It stands eye-to-eye with the
family-style SUVs but makes those luxury wagons every time it
rumbles away and shows them its tail lights.
Panel delivery vehicles were developed for utility, but this custom
build makes sure to add in custom comfort, too. It starts with a
set of Mopar bucket seats finished in supple leather. This has
excellent bolstering for all-day comfort. They both power adjust,
and there's even a cup holder center console. The Grant steering
wheel is on a tilt column, and you get a good view of the clean
newer gauges. The fundamentals are in place, so you can drive it
and enjoy it from day one. Plus, it leaves room in your budget to
decide what you want the next level to be. A big stereo? Air
conditioning? A fully furnished cargo area to showcase your
business? This is your blank canvas.
The forward-tilt hood looks sporty and gives you a great view of
the 302 cubic-inch V8 upgrade. It's a nice-looking powerhouse that
has extra muscle thanks to a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a
ProComp intake, and headers feeding the side-exit dual exhaust.
There are also good supporting pieces, like the HEI distributor and
an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. It's a powerful package,
and you'll love that you can utilize it to the fullest. After all,
we bet you've checked out the undercarriage photos that show you
this one has the fully independent sports suspension borrowed from
a C4 Corvette. So this classic Panel Delivery will handle like no
one ever would expect from a 1950 machine! And there's the grip of
modern sport tires and upgraded four-wheel disc brakes with drilled
& slotted rotors for even more driving confidence. Plus, power
steering and a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive
make it a solid all-around cruiser.
The sale comes complete with a radio and some beginning components
for A/C. This is a fantastic custom you never expected...but now
that you see it, you'll never forget it. So that's why you need to
ensure it goes home with you. Call now!
