This 1956 Chevrolet 3100 is quite a cool hot rod pickup. The custom
paint, awesome wood bed, driver-ready interior, and upgraded V8
power make for a distinct cruiser.
It's hard not to get drawn in by an interesting pickup like this
one. Matte black is a true hot rod favorite, and the unique sheen
gives this an instant dose of attitude. But take some time to see
how the full package really comes together. This has beautiful
custom pinstriping on the hood. It's done in red and white, which
kicks off a full color theme that coordinates with the grille,
bumper, and headlight bezels. Even the red wheels with whitewall
tires follow the color package. The deleted trim and lowered
suspension deliver more of that great custom appearance. But as
much as you like the updates, your favorite part might just be more
traditional. After all, there's just something extra alluring about
real glossy oak in the truck bed.
The interior really gets the hot rod cruiser feeling right. The
bench seat and carpeting have been redone for added comfort. The
retro-style AM/FM stereo fits well with the classic dash with the
fan-style speedo. And speaking of the dash, we love how the custom
pinstriping returns inside. And it's built to be a good driver with
an upgraded banjo-style steering wheel, a tilt column, and
auxiliary readouts. It makes for a setup that's not trying to get
fancy, but it does want to make you feel comfortable.
This Chevy was born in the dawn of the small block era, so it's
nice to have a proper V8 under the hood. Plus, the Cadillac-style
air grabber with pinstriping makes this hardy motor also worth
showing off. This 350 cubic-inch unit is larger than what was
offered in 1956. It's upgraded further with a Holley four-barrel
carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and a dual exhaust
with Flowmaster mufflers. It is a driver-ready package that even
has some nice supporting pieces like a newer battery and an
aluminum radiator with an electric fan. And keeping this easy
cruiser package going are features like the three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, power brakes, and front discs.
This Chevy truck has the features, attitude, and overall fit &
finish of a street machine cruiser. So if you want a classic pickup
with some fun hot rod defiance, call today!!!
