What a rare and wonderful Chrysler convertible! This 1963 Chrysler
Newport convertible was purchased new by a Mr. J. Franklin
Showalter Jr. from Highland Chrysler-Plymouth in Pittsburgh, PA.
Only 2,093 of these were ever produced, and this amazing example
has only 31,604 miles, which are believed to be actual. The car is
finished in its original Festival Red, with the original Gray and
White cloth/vinyl interior. It also still retains the original
361ci V8 engine. The original window sticker, owner's manual, and
Chrysler "Certicard" are still extant, and verify all of the
following options of the car to be original. Torqueflite automatic
transmission, light package, power steering, power brakes,
"Golden-Tone" radio, custom "Conditionaire" heater/defroster,
deluxe steering wheel, electric clock, "Dual-Jet'' windshield
washer, variable-speed windshield wipers, tinted front windshield
glass, front bumper guards, wheel covers, undercoating and
under-hood pad, and whitewall tires. Simply put, you may never come
across another one this nice again; highly original!
