This 1964 Pontiac Catalina Safari has been in a prominent East
Coast dealer collection for many years. That collector procured the
car from the original owner; an elderly woman who had purchased the
vehicle new from Jones Pontiac Co. in Lancaster, PA. The vehicle
was reportedly always garage kept, and based on the highly original
overall condition, that seems likely. The odometer shows just
55,829 miles, which are believed to be actual. The car is finished
in its factory-correct Cameo Ivory and still retains some of its
original paint. The original maroon vinyl interior is in overall
stunning condition, as is the brightwork and chrome. The car is in
very good running and driving condition and it's always been very
well cared for. It has the "11H" coded 389/267hp V8 with the
original 2-barrel carburetor. This station wagon left the factory
with a Hydra-matic transmission, power steering, power brakes,
power tailgate window, decor moldings, padded dash, heavy duty air
cleaner, deluxe wheel covers, deluxe tilt steering wheel,
windshield washer and wipers, back up lamps, E-Z-Eye glass, outside
rearview mirror and AM/FM "Super Deluxe'' radio with antenna.
Mid-century station wagons like this are really heating up in the
market, so don't miss the chance to grab this highly original
example now!
