Nissan released the Datsun 280Z model for the North American market in the 1975 model year. In a further effort to keep the S30 models sporting in the face of increasingly stringent U.S. emission and safety requirements, the engine size was increased, from 2.6 to 2.8 liters, and a Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection system was added to produce an engine rated at 170 HP. Mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, the engine delivers strong reliable performance with 0-60 in just over 8 seconds. With the exception of the American Racing wheels and Pioneer stereo, our car is all original showing only 39,469 miles. The car shows no evidence of rust or of ever having been damaged.
