Vehicle Description
STK 3361 1965 Chevrolet El Camino
Chevrolet created their first 'hybrid' pickup in 1959 - the El
Camino. The first generation was based on the full-size Chevrolet
sedan chassis and was only built for two years. The second
generation was reintroduced in 1964 and was based on the Chevelle
platform. This '65 Chevy El Camino is mostly original except for a
respray of original (C-code) Ermine White that is in very good
condition. Chrome and stainless are excellent and a contrasting tan
vinyl bed cover has been custom fitted. Factory steel wheels mount
14" Goodyear w/w radials with optional '65 Chevelle/El Camino 'mag'
wheel covers. The handsome interior is in good original condition.
Dash, door cards, headliner and carpeting are all nice. Comfort
features include cold A/C, AM sound system, color-keyed mats,
original wheel and tinted windows. Power is furnished by a 327ci
small-block that is said to have never been rebuilt. It is equipped
with a Carter AFB four-barrel carburetor and custom dual exhaust.
Output for the base 327/4V engine was rated at 250hp. It is fitted
with a new alternator and backed by a 2-speed PowerGlide automatic
transmission that delivers torque to a 10-bolt differential. The
chassis is fitted with power steering and manual 4-wheel drum
brakes (new) w/dual master cylinder, rear air shock suspension and
front sway bar. The current owner of this El Camino has taken
excellent care of this classic Chevy and it is now ready for a new
owner who will value this rare Bowtie 'hybrid' pickup. ALL VEHICLES
SOLD "AS IS".
