4Runner. In production since 1984, this model was made in Japan and
originally purchased at Mike Calvert Toyota in Houston, Texas.
Finished in Dark Blue, this SUVs paint and trim are in overall very
good order, the bodywork is straight and solid, the chrome bumpers
look great and the engine bay is very tidy. The rear cargo area is
in fine shape. This 4Runner rolls on Goodyear brand new Wrangler
tires, size 235/75R15 at all four corners. Each tire is mounted to
a factory alloy wheel. The wheels and tires are all in very good,
original condition. There are running boards for easier in-and-out
and rear mud flaps. Under the hood is a 3.0L SOHC V-6 engine (code
3VZ-E) with electronic fuel injection. The motor is backed by a
four-speed automatic transmission (code A340H). Driver convenience
features include air-conditioning, power steering, power brakes,
power sideview mirrors, power locks, power windows and a sunroof.
In addition, there are a rear defroster, rear wiper and washer.
Inside, the blue-gray cloth front buckets and rear bench seats are
in great condition, as are the matching carpet and headliner. A
three-spoke steering wheel faces the driver, however the dashtop
has at least three cracks in it while the inner door liners are in
very good order. A center console with shifter and a Pioneer AM/FM
stereo with CD player complete the interior. Toyota issued a second
generation of Hilux Surf and 4Runner in 1989 for the 1990 model
year. Known as the N120/N130 series, these models continued their
reliance on the Hilux pickup as a basis. It represented a
fundamental departure from the first generation model. Instead of
an enhanced pickup truck with fiberglass cap, the new 4Runners
featured a freshly designed, full steel integrated body mounted on
the existing frame. However, the 4Runner did remain virtually
identical to the Hilux from the B-pillars forward. Toyota issued a

Competition to this 4Runner in 1995 included Chevrolet?s Blazer,
Ford?s Explorer, GMC?s Jimmy and Nissan?s Pathfinder. Toyota fans,
if you?re looking for another 4Runner, this one might be a good
candidate as it?s well and truly broken in at this mileage.
