Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1971 Ford LTD Convertible.
Finished in red with a white top and interior, this full-size
convertible was fully restored both cosmetically and mechanically.
It looks great inside and out and runs and drives well. Most of
these LTDs were optioned with a 351 cubic inch V8, but this car was
ordered with the high-performance N-code 429 with a 10.5:1
compression ratio (needless to say, it requires premium fuel but
runs just fine on 93 octane pump gas). Compression ratios and power
output declined dramatically in 1972 making the '71 models truly
the end of an era.
Paint and body present to a nice standard; under present Atlanta
ownership for the last six years. Restored under prior ownership.
Highly optioned with power top, power windows, power steering,
power brakes (front disk), A/C, 8-track, cruise control, limited
slip rear end and C6 heavy duty automatic transmission. Both the
engine and transmission were rebuilt under prior ownership.
This LTD starts easily and runs and drives well - it has ample
power thanks to the big-block V8 under the hood. Steering,
suspension and braking systems were all rebuilt during the
restoration - this example rides smoothly and it steers and stops
confidently. These early 1970s full-size Fords represent an
incredible value for six-person top-down cruising.
