Vehicle Description
This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS Tribute lives up to its
Super Sport style with one of the best enhanced small block setups.
Plus, it has the color combo, features, and overall style to be a
terrific cruiser.
The rich wine-like color of this coupe could almost make it pass
for a sophisticate. But there's the right metallic and gloss to
ensure everyone knows it's more about power than stature. And
that's the real theme of this one. It's a car meant to be driven,
so it doesn't approach a concourse-level of fit and finish. But if
you enjoy a morning in cars & coffee and then carefree driving all
afternoon, then you can understand why this one is fun. The darker
SS grille, SS badging, and 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust
wheels with raised white letter tires give this a sporty attitude.
The full brightwork setup looks good, including the form-fitting
chrome bumpers. So it makes for an attractive package that gets the
first-gen Chevelle style right for a classic driver.
The dark tone of the exterior goes well with the black interior.
Just like the exterior, the overall aim is to be a car you can hop
into and drive on a whim. So it has an easy-going style and plenty
of driver-ready features. This includes classic details like bucket
seats with a center console in between. You'll also spot
well-integrated upgrades, like a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel
on a tilt column and an auxiliary gauge trio under the dash. And
the handy AutoMeter Autogage tach is integrated into the factory
gauge cluster. There's an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo, but we bet your
favorite soundtrack comes from rolling down all the windows on this
hardtop and listening to the dual exhaust.
Under the hood is a 400 cubic-inch V8. It looks nice with polished
components like valve covers and air cleaner radiating from within
the middle of the black engine bay. We love this motor because it
gives you a big block displacement in a small block weight. Plus,
this one has been upgraded with go-fast goodies like Holley 670cfm
Street Avenger four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer RPM
aluminum intake, a Mallory Promaster ignition, and long tube
headers feeding into the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. And
the power steering, three-speed automatic transmission, power
brakes, and slotted front discs reinforce this idea of a classic
built for better cruising.
This is a powerful coupe that loves to hit the road. That makes for
quite an attractive way to drive an icon. Call now!
