For Sale: 1972 Norton Commando in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin
During the Norton Commando's ten years of production, the Commando
was popular all over the world. In the United Kingdom it won the
Motor Cycle News "Machine of the Year" award for five successive
years from 1968 to 1972. Around 60,000 Commandos were built in
total during its production. The Norton Commando, also known for
being extremely fast, was the perfect donor to build fast and
stylish motorcycles for either racing or road pleasure. Paul
Dunstall, master craftsman that was heavily involved in Motorcycle
racing found himself early on in his career drawn to this English
manufacture. Dunstall went on to become its own manufacture company
to secure eligibility on the racing circuit. This example is a
prime example of a high quality built Cafe Racer using the finest
components on the market, but still holding true pedigree to what a
"Cafe Racer" is. Lightweight, striped down, powerful, and English
stylistic ques. Norton Cafe Racers rarely hit the market and built
to this quality is even rarer. This is the one you've been looking
for!
