Vehicle Description
STK 3356 2005 Chevrolet SSR LS
The Chevrolet SSR (Super Sport Roadster) was based on the concept
car introduced at the 2000 Detroit Auto Show. It was produced from
model year 2004 through 2006 and built at the GM Lansing Craft
Design Centre in Michigan. Designed and built on the Chevy
Trailblazer EXT platform, the SSR was a unique hybrid pickup with
retro-styling and muscle car performance. This '05 SSR is in
outstanding condition with a stunning Ebony Black finish that is
accented by GM 19x8"/20x10" chrome alloys fitted with Goodyear
Eagle radials. Features include a power-retractable 'vertical
stacking' hardtop, sport mirrors and a cockpit windbreak. The bed
is fitted with a hard cargo tonneau cover and the 'Cargo
Compartment Trim' option package that adds integrated wood trim
boards, cargo netting, crossbar and hold-downs. Life inside is
remarkably luxurious with Ebony leather interior and amenities such
as power six-way driver's seat, two-way passenger seat, air
conditioning, leather wheel, auxiliary gauge package, dual
front/side airbags, cruise control, power tinted windows, power
locks and a premium AM/FM/CD system and Bose speakers. Under the
hood lies an aluminum 6.0L 'LS-2' V-8 originally designed for the
Corvette and GTO. It produces 390bhp/405lb/ft of torque and is
mated to a six-speed Tremec T-56 manual gearbox. This package
drives a 14-bolt (9.5-inch ring gear) rear axle with a Torsen
'proportional' limited slip differential and 3.73 gearing. Reviews
stated that this hybrid pick-up ran 0-60 in 5.6 seconds. For
equally impressive handling, it features lowered independent
front/five-link rear suspension, new gas shocks and front/rear sway
bars. Stopping power comes from four-wheel ABS ventilated brakes
with GM electronic Brakeforce Distribution. This SSR 'Corvette'
pickup will turn heads and out-perform many muscle cars on the
boulevard. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
