Vehicle Description
Here's a spectacular C1, a 1959 Chevrolet Corvette now available in
the MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom. One of the big reasons this
vintage is so sought after is the 283ci V8 engine. This one is
believed to be the original engine and it sports the correct Carter
4-bbl carburetor, new air cleaner and finned aluminum valve covers.
A frame-on body restoration was performed by Corvette specialists
Mickey's Car Barn 5 years ago, and the results are fabulous. The
paint is the original color Roman Red with contrasting white coves.
The car is amazingly original, including the hardtop, interior
(with new carpet), windshield, plexiglass, and much of the chrome
and stainless trim. And there are plenty of new components to keep
it running smoothly and looking great. It's been treated to a new
black soft top, new stainless steel exhaust, new carpeting, and new
Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires. This is an extra-rare
example as only 20% of the 9670 1959 Corvettes were equipped with
the Powerglide automatic transmission. It comes with a 1959
Corvette Operations Manual, the original valve covers, and the
original air cleaner. You'll be proud to drive or show this rare
Roman Red 1959 Chevrolet Corvette. Please see the detailed photos
