From 1964 to 1973, Ford Mustang manufactured the first generation
of a new class of automobiles which became known as the Pony Cars.
To this day, the Mustang remains a favorite collector car icon. The
Mustang styling has proven to be widely popular, and it motivated a
lot of competition between American automotive manufacturers. The
1969 Mustang model was the first to use dual headlights. On each
side of the car, one was placed inside the grille opening and the
other outside of the grille opening. Off center to the drivers
side, the pony and tribar logo was placed. The length of the body
was increased by almost 4 inches. A more aggressive stance added to
the sleek body lines. This 69 Mustang is an excellent car. Only
11,307 convertible models were built for the 1969 year. Of that
number, how many can possibly be in existence today? This car was a
DSO in Jacksonville FL. Exterior is Wimbledon White (Code M) with a
new black convertible top. The body is all original panels and
straight as an arrow. Paint is in excellent condition and ready for
show. The original chrome and trim are still in above average
condition. Interior is Code 2B, Light Blue Corinthian vinyl and
features bucket seats with console. All interior trim is in very
good shape. There are no rips or tears. Both driver and passenger
seatbelts are in the front and rear. Engine is the 302 CID and is
paired with the 3-speed automatic transmission. This car starts,
runs, and drives with excellent performance. It drives with smooth
handling on the road as it has a brand new front suspension Options
include power steering, Pony floormats, AM/FM radio, and factory
AC. This car has been garaged and has not been driven in the rain
for the past 48 years. The owner has the original 2-barrel
carburetor, air cleaner, and exhaust manifolds-- all will go along
with the sale of this car. This car is a real head turner.
Everywhere it goes, people gather around this car, and many folks
share fond memories from back in the day. Location of this Mustang
convertible is a bit North of the Charlotte NC area, and it is
available for viewing for serious buyers only, by appointment.
