Vehicle Description
Very Rare 1973 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible Indy 500 Official
Festival Pace Car!!! This is 1 of 53 official Indianapolis Motor
Speedway 'numbered' track convertibles that were made for use at
the 1973 Indianapolis 500! There are approximately 20 of them still
in existence. This is car number 4 which was assigned and used by
Indianapolis 500 Festival Chairman Charles R. Davis. I have
included a copy of an official photo of Mr. Davis, who is standing,
with Bob Lund General Sales Manager of Cadillac, sitting in the
driver's seat, and Tony Hulman the owner of the Indianapolis Motor
Speedway sitting in the passenger seat. This car is verified by the
official Cadillac documents and the Cadillac authenticity manual
which has all of the pertinent information of each car used at the
Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1973! This particular track numbered
car was 1 of 46 cars made with the SR-X30 Festival rear center bar
option used to mount the track flags on the rear bumpers! It was
sold after the race by Tutwiler Cadillac in Indianapolis to a local
customer that only drove it 35k miles over it's lifetime! We
purchased it from their estate a few years ago and it has been part
of our collection ever since! It still has the original front
license plate, the two red car number 4 designation stickers in the
windshield and the number 4 crayon mark on the rear license plate
bracket. We have serviced it, installed a new exhaust system,
installed a new set of tires and a new convertible top. It is ready
for a collection or to just enjoy and take to your favorite car
events!!! This is a rare opportunity to own a real piece of
Cadillac history!!!
