1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad
Car History
The Chevrolet Nomad is a nameplate used by Chevrolet from the 1950s
to the 1970s and applied largely to station wagons. Three different
Nomads were produced as a distinct model line, with Chevrolet
subsequently using the name as a trim package.
We have a beautiful restored 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad here at
Adventure Classics that was restored to an unbelievable level which
is an amazing driver with cool factory AC to drive and enjoy for
many years.
The 57 Nomad is undeniably one of the most recognizable American
finned cars of all time and is one of the most sought after classic
cars on the market today, and will continue to be a great
investment!
Engine & Drivetrain
Looking under the long hood on the 57, you will see what appears to
be the original small block Chevy 283 cubic inch engine with the
engine block, heads, and intake painted in Chevrolet orange.
It has a black painted factory air cleaner, factory orange painted
Chevrolet script logo valve covers, air conditioning, power
steering, and power brakes.
It all sits in a tidy engine compartment and is backed by a 3-speed
manual transmission for better cruising speeds and mileage as it
rolls on factory painted wheels with chrome Chevrolet wheel covers
and white sidewall tires.
Interior
The gorgeous restored red and black upholstery has a very sharp
look on the full length bench seat and matching rear seat, factory
A/C, red original steering wheel that matches the original
red/aluminum instrument panel, with the factory instrument gauge
package, crank windows, column shifter, and an equally restored
gorgeous cargo bay that's just too nice to use for hauling anything
and fully outfitted with matching carpets.
Exterior
Our Nomad is finished off in a bright new red paint with the
off-setting top in white paint using the elegant factory Bel Air
stainless trim for contrast down the flanks. The panels are smooth
and have a great shine in the sunlight.
This beauty was born to be driven and has the great grille, bumper
bullets and hood rockets, emblems, chrome bumpers, and those iconic
tail fins, as well as the wrap-around glass of the Nomad.
This Bel Air has had a full restoration and has been preserved to
its original look, stance, and condition. Great running and driving
car. Everything works and drives the way it did in 1957.
Conclusion
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad here at Adventure Classics is a
true American Classic Car. It has been completely restored with all
the extras you would desire including V8 power, factory AC,
beautiful red color, redone interior, and drivetrain.
