Yes they made these buses until the late 1990's at Volkswagen second factory. It Get tons of attention wherever I go with it. Has full German Tan plaid interior trim with full opening pop up top. Full camping style interior! Seats folds down and makes a bed. Comes with mini fridge! and sink! These are extremely hard to find with this setup, most of them have your standard passenger seats. This bus has a full array of storage compartments as well built in. This bus is quite unique from others because it has a newer front beam, Front disc brakes, dual carb setup, being one of the last ones made in the 1990's
It was restored by the previous owner about 5 years ago. During that time it received all new mounts, new door seals, pop up top, all new chrome bumpers, new windows, new weather stripping, all new lights, bumpers, emblems. The bus has a two tone Mint Green/white paint job clear finish all around, and sits on factory wheels with chrome hubcaps and beauty rings. The camper style interior was done all new all around, sand blasted, and repainted. Look at the interior pictures. All upholstery is brand new, seats and panels etc. Custom headliner. All new chrome miscellaneous pieces through out the interior. Matching curtain sets. Original factory vintage steering wheel was redone. Comes with Deluxe pop up top that opens up so you can stand comfortably inside. Mini table that folds and fits in storage compartment. Rear seat is foldable for sleeping and turns into a bed. The engine is 1500 with dual carburetors mounted to a 4-speed transmission. A lot of detail has been spent on the engine compartment. All new lines and gas tank.
