I am very impressed with this car. It is a really nice example of a
quality older restoration that's been very well cared for. Full of
great options from power steering and top to disc brakes and air
conditioning. It looks and functions great.
EXTERIOR: The body is exceptionally clean. It is straight and fits
right, the doors click shut. No rust, bottom of the fenders are
clean, door edges are dry. It's an older paint job that looks
great. Original Colonial White color with a glossy finish. Overall,
the chrome and trim sparkles. It has optional luggage rack, remote
mirror, and stainless sill plates. The white power top is very
nice. Optional wire wheel hubcaps have optional spinners and they
look practically new. Radial tires look like new too.
INTERIOR: Overall very nice condition. I like the blue against the
white exterior. The carpet, upholstery, door panels are very good.
It has a set of pony floor mats. Seat belts front and back. The
dash area is very clean including the dash pad, bezels, and knobs.
It has a factory center console and factory air conditioning unit.
Original style radio has an FM conversion. The interior lights work
including in the console and glove box. Optional day/night
mirror.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Smooth running 289 V-8. It has correct
manifolds, 2 barrel carb, valve covers and air cleaner. It even has
reproduction spark plug wires and the metal tabs on the exhaust
manifold bolts. The engine bay is very clean, smooth metal that's
been painted black. Features include factory air conditioning,
upgraded with R134 freon. It also has power steering. Upgraded
aluminum radiator, reproduction hoses and clamps. Upgraded dual
reservoir master cylinder. The washer bag and squirters are hooked
up. Overall, very proper and tidy.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very clean metal with a nice white coat of paint
throughout. Weatherstrip and sticker is in excellent shape. It has
the plaid mat and matching tire cover. The spare tire has never
been used. Jack assembly is included.
UNDERSIDE: The front end steering and suspension is not brand new
but it certainly has been rebuilt or replaced at some point. The
rear shocks look new. Original type single exhaust is in good
shape. Disc brakes in front, e-brake assembly is hooked up. Bottom
of the motor is clean, correct canister fuel pump looks new.
Original C-4 automatic, the original tag is still attached. It was
rebuilt in 2015. Original rear end with the original tag still
attached. Clean, dry original floors.
I get the strong impression this is one of the good ones. When the
doors click shut, every interior light works, and it runs this
smooth I bet it will that you right. No bubbles or damage showing
on a paint job that's a few decades old, it's not going to start
now! Don't forget about all the options too. It has everything you
want to make it a comfortable cruiser!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
