Vehicle Description
The 1970's decade began with Ford opening a new truck plant in
Kentucky near Louisville. Trucks that were manufactured at this
plant became known as the Louisville Line and included medium,
heavy, and extra heavy-duty trucks. This series became one of the
most popular truck series in Ford's production history. Despite the
government fuel economy, emissions, and safety standards that were
mandated to automobile manufacturers in the 70's, most either did
not apply to trucks or were not as strict. For the 1970 year, the
grille got a grid pattern look and parking lights were wraparound,
rear side markers were moved. The trim packages that were offered
were Custom, Sports Custom Cab, and the new top of the line trim
package was the Ranger XLT. This is a super nice Ford Pickup that
was a dealer special order in Charlotte NC. It has never left the
state of NC. Current owner purchased the truck locally and did a
full frame off restoration. Frame was sandblasted as well as the
cab; entire truck was taken apart and then put back together.
Exterior is the factory 2-toned Harbor Blue and Diamond Blue; the
paint is in excellent condition. The chrome is new as well as
handles and trim. Body is the original panels and is straight as an
arrow. The bed is in excellent condition as well. The windshield is
brand new and the rubber all the way around is new as well.
Interior is a brand new dark blue bench seat interior with a new
dash, new door panels, new headliner, and new carpet. Interior
presents in excellent condition. The step plates are new as well.
Engine is the factory 302 CID and has been rebuilt. It is paired
with the 3-speed manual transmission, column shift. This truck runs
and drives very well! Underneath, you will find a gorgeous
undercarriage with the cab underside that is painted to match the
exterior color. The rear end had the original X marking, and the
transmission had the 23 mark, both of which were placed on during
