Vehicle Description
This drop-top is certainly a classic, but really, it's going
incognito. That's because this 1950 Chevrolet Styleline Convertible
is packing a Trans Am's fuel-injected LS1 V8 under the hood!
The Mist Green paint is an ideal understated color. It's a fresher
application, but it just gets appreciated for the classic pastel
glow. This goes well with the rest of the vintage style of the
bright chrome bumpers, two-piece windshield, and clean body lines
with curve fenders. But if you look a little longer, you can start
to pick up on some details like the deleted trim, blue dot tail
lights, and dual exhaust tips that give this more of a custom vibe.
And those 17-inch torque thrust style wheels allow you to seriously
upgrade the tires.
The white roof is quite complete, and it helps with this car's
incognito attitude. But you'll like it much better when you take it
down. The door panels and seats are upgraded to a cool classic
green and white two-tone that look like you mixed the two colors
together to get the exterior's minty hue. Plus, they were
thoughtful with details, like the cloth inserts that will be
especially nice on sunny days with the top down. There's fresher
carpeting for added comfort, and you have the option to restore
features like the AM radio, air conditioning, and speedometer.
You'll also appreciate upgraded driving features like the sports
steering wheel and the auxiliary readouts installed under the
dash.
There's no disguising the level of upgrade in the engine bay. The
5.7-liter fuel-injected V8 was borrowed from a final-generation
Pontiac Trans Am. So you're basically looking at a half-century's
worth of progress installed under the hood. This installation was
done correctly so that you have all the right pieces that were
meant to handle the LS motor. This is everything from the
electrical system to the 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission
with overdrive. The grippy Cooper Zeon tires, upgraded front disc
brakes, and sweet tune of the glasspack-style dual exhaust all come
together to make for a terrific drop-top cruiser.
You never thought before about making a rare Styleline Convertible
into an LS restomod, but now that you see the results, this is the
classic you can't forget. So it's time to make it yours. Call
