Vehicle Description
This 1969 Ford Mustang GT Sportsroof is one of the meanest-looking
street machines of all time. Of course, it's only better when it's
a real-deal R-code big block 428ci V8 Cobra Jet with a terrific
sense of style.
This is an interesting pony car. The big Cobra Jet motor often
found its way onto the Shelbys or Mach 1s, and so this one has some
distinction for being a GT-level trim. We bet some of you
especially like the way this looks because it's a purer design to
showcase the lines of the 1969 car's updated design lines. This is
also attractive because this example was born in the legendary
Wimbledon White color. Not only has the paint received a quality
respray, but they also added those golden racing stripes that go
all the way over the top before the clearcoat so it all has a
smooth shine. The whole package is aggressively elegant, and you
see that in the sporty pieces like the Boss-level front splitter,
hood pins, GT wheels, side louvers, quad exhaust tips, and
well-integrated rear spoiler in the Sportsroof's design. And of
course, the shaker hood scoop is a terrific way to announce there
is some serious gallop in this pony.
The Wimbledon White exterior is a great historic color for
first-gen Mustangs, and Ivy Gold is arguably the most distinctive
color offered inside. So it's awesome to see the Marti Report tell
us this one was born with such a cool color combo. More than just
colors, this one was optioned quite nicely for comfort and
distinction, including a center console and fold-flat rear seat
with trunk pass-through. And what you'll really like is how this
one truly feels vintage. It's in everything from the way your back
glides over the ribs of the bucket seat to the grip of the thin
factory wheel.
This is an R-code Mustang, which means it's correct to have the big
block 428 cubic-inch V8 with ram air that's under the hood. This is
a replacement block, and they took the time to upgrade it. too. It
includes a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock aluminum
intake, a Mallory distributor, and a Milodon oil pan for added
power and fortification. This mighty motor is mated to a stout Ford
C6 three-speed automatic transmission. As you look underneath,
you'll spot more great features, like the H-pipe dual exhaust and
traction bard on the rear. Add in power steering, power brakes, and
front discs, and you have a powerful fastback that's also a solid
all-around cruiser.
This is quite a unique Cobra Jet Mustang GT, and you even have the
Deluxe Marti Report that can show you how it's a one-of-one!
Currently on a rebuilt title, there's a lot of distinction and fun
in this rare and powerful pony Call today!!!
